Service routing: decision tree

1. User reports issue via app / phone / email

Triage by WanderAir Support (Ambassador-staffed):

• Consumable issue (filter life, replace) → direct to WanderStore or third-party vendor
• Firmware / software issue → remote diagnostic + reset + OTA update
• Hardware fault < 30 days (DOA / early failure) → ship-to-warranty send-back, no charge
• Hardware fault 30 days - 1 year (in warranty) → Ambassador send-back, no charge
• Hardware fault in extended warranty period (3yr opt) → Ambassador send-back, small admin fee only
• Hardware fault > 3 years → user pays parts + $25 service fee; or DIY with STL + schematic + Community repair

2. User can DIY

1. Lease-end / upgrade trade-in

• User trades in working WanderAir → 40-50% credit toward next-generation unit

2. Warranty-return refurb

Print settings

• Layer height: 0.2 mm (standard; 0.15 mm for touch ring bezel + LCD bezel for finer finish)
• Material:
• Chassis parts: PETG (preferred) or ABS, UL 94 V-0 compatibility if purifier tiers (fire safety in airflow path)
• Diffusers + translucent: frosted PLA or clear PETG
• Retention / structural: PC/ABS (preferred) or PETG
• Gasket compression frames: PC/ABS (good heat + durability)
• Infill: 30-40% for chassis parts; 60% for retention + structural; 10-15% for diffusers
• Supports: tree supports for complex geometries; consult per-STL notes
• Color: see per-STL color recommendations

Printer requirements

• Build volume: 250 × 250 × 250 mm minimum for Desktop shells; 300 × 300 × 400 mm for Room shells
• Direct-drive extruder recommended for PETG/PC parts
• Enclosed chamber recommended for PC/ABS and ABS

Annealing (optional for improved strength)

• ABS + PC parts benefit from mild annealing (90 °C for 2 hr) for dimensional stability

Fit + tolerance

• All STLs designed for ±0.1 mm fit tolerance
• Screw holes: M3 clearance (3.2 mm diameter)
• Threads: not modeled, users tap or use brass inserts
• Press-fit joints: 0.05 mm negative clearance

Compliance + safety

• Fire-safety: purifier tier chassis replacements must use UL 94 V-0-rated filament. PLA is NOT acceptable for main chassis (too flammable). Non-chassis parts (diffusers, signature plates, tool holders) can be PLA.
• Food contact: none of these parts are food-contact-safe
• Outdoor UV: HVAC duct-adapter replacements indoors only; not UV-stabilized
