At the founder's retirement, the company converts to a Public Benefit Corporation, and Class A shares transfer to Wandering With Pride Inc., the 501(c)(3) nonprofit that already runs the WanderSafe travel-safety platform. The hardware company becomes nonprofit-owned, in perpetuity.
The planned for-profit hardware company. Once products exist, it would file BOMs, hire Ambassadors, run production, ship products and pay taxes. The founder would receive a W-2 salary capped at a public multiple of the local living-wage calculator. No founder-equity payouts beyond that salary are planned.
A 501(c)(3) public charity. Currently operates WanderSafe (LGBTQ+ travel safety platform, 161 destinations live) and is planning WanderSafeMesh (community LoRa-mesh network, in design). WanderSafeMesh is run by the nonprofit, separately from WanderVerse; WanderVerse devices are planned to connect to it, but the LLC does not own or sell it. Would receive 30% of every WanderVerse hardware sale via the Community Pool. At founder's retirement, will own the LLC outright.

The hire plan calls for an engineering lead, a contract manufacturer relationship, and a Tier-3 medical Ambassador trainer in 2026–2027. As the catalog grows, the Ambassador network grows. The team-of-one phase ends when the first paid engineer is hired.
