17.6 veterans die by suicide every day — and 61% of veterans who died by suicide in 2022 were not receiving VA care at the time. The first year post-separation is the highest-risk period: identity loss, financial instability, and loss of structure combine into a documented peak. Welfare checks are a documented veteran safety risk — police involvement in mental health calls produces worse outcomes. The DADT discharge upgrade program estimates 14,000 veterans are eligible, but only 6% have completed upgrades — most don't know the path exists. 78,000+ veterans remain unhoused despite the VASH program's documented capacity of 60,000 vouchers against a gap of 60,000 chronically homeless veterans. WanderServe is the VA navigation layer that the VA itself doesn't have: chosen-network crisis support, LGBTQ+ affirming facility ratings, MST claim documentation, and discharge upgrade navigation built for the people the system was designed to forget.

  • VA benefits navigation: disability claim documentation + evidence building — initial denials are common
  • Discharge upgrade navigator: DADT-era (14K eligible, 6% complete), other-than-honorable, MST
  • Burn pit exposure + PACT Act claims: documented exposure, symptoms, claim chain
  • LGBTQ+ veteran: MST claims, affirming VA facility ratings, trans veteran care navigation
  • Housing navigation: HUD-VASH, VA-backed loans, transitional housing — 78K still unhoused
  • Pension protection: predatory financial advisor red flags — veteran financial exploitation is documented
  • First-year post-separation toolkit: identity, structure, benefits, community — highest-risk period
  • Crisis: WanderSOS with veteran configuration — battle buddy model, 3am problem, chosen network first
  • 17.6/day statistic is a solvable problem: chosen-network crisis support changes the calculus
  • Peer support: battle buddy model, community rings for veteran mutual aid

Repair & refurb

Send it back. Prepaid label. Component-level repair, module upgrades, firmware updates. 7-year spare parts guarantee. Donate on return — refurbished hardware goes to shelter and community partners. GPL firmware: the device works even if WanderVerse shuts down.

No hardware subscription — ever

BMW charged $18/mo for heated seats already in your car. GM locked remote start. Eero charges for VPN on hardware that could run it free. We don't do that. You bought it, you own it — every feature works forever, no subscription required. WanderAssist ($9/mo optional) is a convenience layer, never a gate. Safety features are never paywalled.

Pro & Lux tiers — coming

Every WanderVerse hardware product will offer Pro and Lux finish tiers — premium materials and handcrafted finishes by WanderVerse Artisans: supported employment workers with artistic skills. Each Lux unit ships with a Finished By card. Lux revenue cross-subsidizes nonprofit pricing.
