Google location history data has been subpoenaed in at least 17 documented abortion-related investigations since Dobbs — prosecutors using 'geofence warrants' to identify who was near a clinic. Google's 'delete location history' does not fully protect against these warrants if cloud backup was enabled. Flock Safety license plate reader networks, now installed in thousands of municipalities, share vehicle movement data with ICE and with other law enforcement agencies without the knowledge of the city that purchased the system. Google Maps routing for wheelchair users is incomplete: accessible pedestrian routing covers approximately 8% of the OpenStreetMap road network and Google has no dedicated team maintaining it. WanderMap is offline-first (no location data sent to any server), uses OpenStreetMap with community accessibility layers, supports camera avoidance routing, and integrates WanderSafeMesh LoRa mesh so location sharing works without cellular infrastructure — the documented failure point in disaster scenarios.

  • Offline-first: no location data sent to any server — Google Maps location history used in 17 abortion prosecutions
  • Geofence warrant protection: no cloud location backup means no data to subpoena
  • Flock license plate reader avoidance: known ALPR camera locations overlaid on routing
  • Wheelchair routing: enhanced OpenStreetMap accessibility layers, community-maintained
  • Sensory sensitivity routing: quieter streets, less crowded paths, sensory load overlay
  • Surveillance camera density avoidance mode: routing that minimizes CCTV exposure
  • WanderSafeMesh LoRa mesh location: location sharing without cellular — works when cell fails
  • WanderSafe destination risk overlay: safety scores travel with navigation
  • DV survivor mode: location not logged, history not retained, no companion location sharing
  • Immigration safety routing: known enforcement area avoidance for people in high-risk areas

Built by supported employment workers — people with intellectual disabilities, autism, and physical disabilities — through WWP's fulfillment program. Every product ships with a Built By card. Competitive wage, never 14(c) subminimum.

Repair & refurb

Send it back. Prepaid label. Component-level repair, module upgrades, firmware updates. 7-year spare parts guarantee. Donate on return — refurbished hardware goes to shelter and community partners. GPL firmware: the device works even if WanderVerse shuts down.

No hardware subscription — ever

BMW charged $18/mo for heated seats already in your car. GM locked remote start. Eero charges for VPN on hardware that could run it free. We don't do that. You bought it, you own it — every feature works forever, no subscription required. WanderAssist ($9/mo optional) is a convenience layer, never a gate. Safety features are never paywalled.

Pro & Lux tiers — coming

Every WanderVerse hardware product will offer Pro and Lux finish tiers — premium materials and handcrafted finishes by WanderVerse Artisans: supported employment workers with artistic skills. Each Lux unit ships with a Finished By card. Lux revenue cross-subsidizes nonprofit pricing.
