WanderKink

Consent-first kink community — FetLife shares data with advertisers and has documented abuse response failures, FOSTA-SESTA forced platform deplatforming, pseudonymity is survival not preference.

Community & Lifestyle
ReplacesFetLife (data sharing, documented abuse response failures) / Tumblr/Reddit (FOSTA-SESTA deplatforming)

FetLife has documented failures in handling abuse reports — investigations have found that predator accounts remained active after multiple reports. FetLife's privacy policy allows data sharing with advertisers, meaning kink interests, group memberships, and scene participation are treated as advertising inventory. After FOSTA-SESTA (2018), Tumblr banned adult content, Reddit banned NSFW communities, and Craigslist closed personal ads — a documented mass deplatforming of consent-based communities while doing nothing documented to reduce trafficking. Pseudonymity in kink communities is not a preference — it is survival: loss of housing, employment, and custody in documented cases when vanilla lives and kink identities intersect. No mainstream platform treats kink community infrastructure as safety infrastructure. WanderKink is built consent-first, with abuse response that produces outcomes, data that never leaves the platform, and pseudonymity as a default architectural requirement.

  • Pseudonymous by default: kink identity separation from legal identity is a safety requirement
  • Consent-first architecture: negotiation tools, limits documentation, safeword registration
  • Abuse report response that produces outcomes — FetLife model explicitly rejected
  • No data broker feed: kink interests not advertising inventory
  • FOSTA-SESTA displaced communities: NSFW Tumblr, Craigslist personals — WanderKink is the replacement
  • Event calendar: local, private, RSVP-controlled — no Facebook required
  • No stalking vectors: location data not shared, travel to events is private
  • WanderShadow integration: compartmentalization between vanilla and kink identity
  • Munches, play parties, education events: community infrastructure not just hookup profiles
  • Block + report that produces outcomes: documented abusers cannot create new accounts
Hand-assembled

Built by supported employment workers — people with intellectual disabilities, autism, and physical disabilities — through WWP's fulfillment program. Every product ships with a Built By card. Competitive wage, never 14(c) subminimum.

Repair & refurb

Send it back. Prepaid label. Component-level repair, module upgrades, firmware updates. 7-year spare parts guarantee. Donate on return — refurbished hardware goes to shelter and community partners. GPL firmware: the device works even if WanderVerse shuts down.

No hardware subscription — ever

BMW charged $18/mo for heated seats already in your car. GM locked remote start. Eero charges for VPN on hardware that could run it free. We don't do that. You bought it, you own it — every feature works forever, no subscription required. WanderAssist ($9/mo optional) is a convenience layer, never a gate. Safety features are never paywalled.

Pro & Lux tiers — coming

Every WanderVerse hardware product will offer Pro and Lux finish tiers — premium materials and handcrafted finishes by WanderVerse Artisans: supported employment workers with artistic skills. Each Lux unit ships with a Finished By card. Lux revenue cross-subsidizes nonprofit pricing.
